Yeah, it looks like a hybrid of SPF-like stuff and TMDA.

My prediction is that if this technology becomes widespread, the next
new wave in spam will be spam that actually appears to be coming from
your friends, sent from their own malware-infested computers (*) based on
information found in their address books, via their own ISPs.

There is no final solution to spam, only an ongoing arms race.  The
best you can hope for is to be ahead of the general curve.  :(
