Subject: Field Day Planning Meeting: Friday, May 6

Field Day is just seven weeks away!

We've reserved the cafeteria at the Vienna Elementary School (our regular
meeting room) for a Field Day planning meeting this coming Friday, May 6, at
7:30.  The room will be open at 7:00 and we need to be out before 9:30.

Topics include: the stations we'll be setting up, antenna placement, station
operation, computer logging network, food preparations, tents, power, GOTA
station operation, bonus points, publicity, and everything else that goes
into making a successful and fun Field Day operation.

Our starting point is to try to reproduce the setup we had last year.  We're
looking at operating 5A again which means two CW stations, two SSB stations,
a digital station, VHF/UHF, GOTA, and possibly satellite.  We need people to
sign up for setting up antennas, operating all of the various stations for
as much of the 24 hour operating period as we can, manning the GOTA station
where we try to get non-hams on the air, etc.

Field Day is our biggest operating event of the year and one of the most
fun.  Please come out for this planning meeting if you can and be sure to
mark your calendar for June 25/26 for Field Day.
