Alex,

For the last 7 years now, I have been using successive versions of 
Netscape  (currently 7.2).
It is free of charge if your download it,

and about $14 if you want to get the CD and the Instruction Manual 
through the mail.

Coupling that with Zone Alarm (also free for download),

and Norton anti-virus with automatic updates, has been (so far) an 
excellent solution for me.

It would appear that hackers and viruses makers tend to focus on Windows 
Outlook and Windows Explorer.
